Your Inspection Expert is a home inspection company with years of experience and knowledge in the field of building science, energy effficiency, and building inspections. We studied how home inspections are being done researching what people liked and didn't like about their home inspection experiences and then we "re-drew" the formula for a delighted client. Lisa Turner, pictured at right, interviewed dozens of people face to face. She also asked other inspectors at conferences and trade shows what they do to deliver the highest level of satisfaction to their customers.

"I purchased this business because I was impressed with what agreat job Lisa did in building this business. I bring to the company 25 years of construction science experience. My specialties have been energy efficiency in home design. I have a lot of technical knowledge I want to make available to our customers.
"I will not be changing the company except to build even further on what Lisa has done. My first change was to follow the recommendations from the State of North Carolina on how we write our reports. Richard C. MacCrea - Owner and Certified Home Inspector
Richard MacCrea, of Murphy, North Carolina, is best know for his expertise as a home designer - and a "green" home designer at that - and his ability to place intelligent designs in the right place at the right angle to get the most from a site. Richard is sought out for his design experience and for his knowledge of state of the art living arrangements that produce the most living space with the least operating cost.
Richard is a structural expert, and an expert on crawlspaces, attics, insulation and ventilation, and home systems. As a home inspector, Richard brings expertise and thoroughness to the examination of home structure, systems, and overall health.

Company Founder and Certified Home Inspector, Lisa Turner is a also a general contractor in the state of North Carolina. Lisa has passed the national exam for home inspectors - the NHIE - National Home Inspector Exam, and is an Associate with Logo Use Member in tjhe American Association of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Lisa attended the Kaplan (Inspector Training Associates) School for home inspectors in Minneapolis in 2009.
In addition to experience in inspection (aircraft and homes) and construction, Lisa has over 20 years of corporate business experience in human resources, quality (manufacturing), and training and development. Previous business startups include a bicycle shop, a business coaching firm, and an aircraft related holding corporation.
Lisa is also a licensed FAA A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) mechanic, and DAR (Designated Airworthiness Representation), qualified to award airworthiness certificates to aircraft. Lisa has built 2 experimental aircraft in her garage - a 2 place 170 MPH Pulsar XP (test flew in 1995), and a high wing tube and fabric 2-place 100 MPH Kolb Mark III (test flew in 2006). Lisa started building a Rotorway Helicopter but sold the project to move to North Carolina!
